How would you like "ignore" implemented
Personally, I consider ignore broken. It doesn't work like any other chat/game I've seen in 10 years. Has there ever been an explanation of why it works the way it does? I spend as little time in towns as possible because it is 90% spam and it seems to be getting alot worse as many are completely ignoring the trading channel...

I've only blocked one person (so far), so I'm not terribly certain how it is currently implemented. One thing's for sure, though... if I Ignore someone, it's because I truly don't want to hear anything they have to say. They're not likely to change their tune between characters -- if they're bothersome as a Me/W, they're going to be equally bothersome as an E/Mo -- so I say cut the problem off at the source.

I like to help newbies on occasion when I'm passing through town ("where is X?"...). If the text is flying by at warp speed I tend to miss any interesting calls for help.
Nuke 'em at the source, I say! |

I have put some people on ignore just for the sake of knowing who I dont want to deal with later.
I would like to see the ignore cut out having to hear that person's dialog in the chat. It wont solve everything, but it is one less person you have to listen to. |

That's funny, I use Ignore more for my "Do not deal list" than I do to filter them out. I always check my ignore list before dealing with anyone on any MMORPG.
